Fuel Additives

Magnesium hydroxide is used in production of lubricating oil additives, production of diesel and kettle fuel additives for scale buildup control on the boiler fire-side, for control of corrosion caused by vanadium, sodium and sulfur, for control of formation of harmful substances in stack gases for all types of power equipment, including gas turbines, steam boilers and boilers and diesels.

Magnesium hydroxide with low calcium content is used in production of magnesium carboxylates – fuel additives for heavy oil fuel and crude oil treatment.

Magnesium oxide is used as a fuel additive that efficiently decreases low-temperature and high-temperature corrosion of industrial boiler equipment burning liquid and solid fuel.

Magnesium oxide is also used for production of overbased magnesium sulfonates and magnesium salicylates that serve as fuel additives and motor oil components.
